The End of Times

The sky wailed above them. There were sounds of shrieks and screams; some mighty and powerful, and some just a flinch away from death. All that was alive in this world knew it: this was the end of times. Of all life, none shall remain on this planet.

All started to stop. For a moment, chaos ceased to exist. There were no more believers and non-believers: all believed. His existence couldn’t be denied anymore. All waited for the horn that would signal the end of all life, the death of all that is.

One blow to end all life. Another blow to resurrect all, by His will.

The horn was blown. As soon as it sounded, silence descended upon everything. The earth rumbled, the beasts rose to life, and all started to run. They sought escape when none was available.

Fort as long as it was being blown, nothing could be heard but the horn. It was heard loud and clear. Yet, it was unlike anything that they had ever heard before. It didn’t sing nor weep. It wasn’t devoid of emotions. It was all emotions, both known and unknown to people, being felt at once. It was the acceptance of one’s fate.

…and then there was none. No more sorrow, no more mirth… not even death. This was the death of death. All that was in the moral realm is now not. This was the death of everything and the birth of nothing. No more barriers.

No man or beast or angel was alive. Only Him.
